have another “problem” i want to add the disc id to a release, but there is a video track on #1 and it wasnt added before, so i need to do it, because otherwise it has not enough tracks for the disc id
(ill mark it as video when its done, because i did not found an option to mark it as video track in the normal release edit window,i only know how to do it on the recording edit window)

Yep, while logically there are 12 tracks on this CD, physically they are represented as just two tracks.

After waiting for a week i could finally fix the release and add the disc id. Now it would be nice if someone could vote for, that the last step is done. (1. track is a video, as written in the last change to the release)

Not so much a request for votes, rather if anyone would be willing to look through this users releases added? Search for edits - MusicBrainz A lot of bootleg that doesn’t feel like the proper use of that type.

Oh great, many of their new releases are not bootlegs at all but duplicates of existing ones. A new RG was created for each “new” release, even if different release versions of the same recording were created. D̶i̶d̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶t̶r̶y̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶t̶a̶l̶k̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶e̶d̶i̶t̶o̶r̶?̶

The brass band world of MusicBrainz is a bit of a mess - most releases are entered in the popular format, and a few in the classical way (Track artists as bands vs composers & arrangers)
It’s something that needs a bit of discussion elsewhere in the community, but this edit at least needs a yes or no until something is decided.

Edit: I’ve cancelled that edit, as it looks like no real agreement is going to happen, and it’s easier to redo than undo later.

For the sake of simple clean edit histories, please edit existing works, in place, instead of duplicating and merging.

Unfortunately I haven’t found a quicker way to do that with works yet, and there’s many of them by me and not by me that don’t have the proper specifications and info.
If only there was a way to edit works as a batch process beyond additions.
(Also, I didn’t see this until today, sorry.)

On Discogs it was recently decided to merge “www.{broker}.{tld}” labels into the respective companies/brands. Now these web addresses can usually be read from the matrix of CDs and can also be assigned to the company by those who do such things. Probably we don’t need such web address labels on MB either, but I think I shouldn’t make such decisions alone.
At the moment there are no votes for this edit and in 3 days the merge would be applied. This is just about a small Austrian company, but it’s one of many similar cases. Therefore, this should be coordinated.

This edit is merging a CD to a digital release: Edit #115442710 - MusicBrainz
The CD info is from FreeDB and it’s the only thing the editor has added. It has notable errors, including two incorrect artists (even though the correct artists exist) and the script, so I find the whole thing unreliable. However, if you think I should cancel the release merge and just merge the recordings, I’ll do that instead.
