Have a bequest; can someone french please translate Cromorne — Wikipédia? there is more information here than in the english ones (which are basically useless) no time-limit or anything, just if possible some time this/next week?

Last week I spent a lot of time removing spam, especially since @chaban sent me a list of over 1000 spammer editors (with actual edits) he had collected over the years (thanks, and also argh)
I also wrote my first proper selenium test now that the test setup actually works on my computer (thanks bitmap), as part of [MBS-13432: Filter whitespace only edit notes] which turned out not to be the “oh I’ll do this in 5 min before I stop for the night” kind of ticket I thought it would be when I started
Plus a few other small tickets

[ansh] Last week I’ve been working on refactoring the folder structure for all the frontend files and are now nesting components by routes.
Apart from that, I worked on converting user dashboard pages to SPA and making changes suggested by monkey in the Profile page SPA PR.
And also spent some time on Listening Queues PR, for some final review changes

[monkey] Last week I reviewed and worked on BookBrainz documentation
Cleaned up and organized tickets and did a whole bunch of PR reviewing for LB and BB
And I worked on LB tags for a good while. Looking a lot better now and actually useful. Still have an auth bug to fix though.
And finally, helped some new arrival get situated and set up their development environment.

I mostly worked on the Event Art Archive code for musicbrainz-server last week. I finished porting all of the edit, controller, and form code, plus the Perl tests. now I’m just working on some UI parts and Selenium tests. then it should be ready
after that I just have to finish some changes to the artwork-indexer and contact the IA to make sure things are still ready on their side
not much else to report besides small misc. PR stuff

last week, did some work on fixing some misc bugs in LB (tagging, cover art, mapping related)
set up the matrix bridge(s)
and some testing for search stuff, that’s it for me.

[mayhem] last week I finalized contracts, worked on the lb content resolver a bit.
I also updated the “loss of executive director” document, to make sure its current.
I hope there is tequila in the office bar when I pass away. there are lots of instructions for taking shots when dealing with accounting.
and I also worked on getting a BPM dataset together so we can start working on some BPM tools.

I have been reviewing PRs as usual and managing Beta releases for our apps
It’s good to see that the iOS beta has around 85 users, great to see!
The android app is still figuring things out with YIM and Listens Submission. Great work from jasje and pranav!
We should get the app tested today and tomorrow once the Beta is available.
I think we have the yim rerun happening soon, so we should plan to ship the app stuff alongside

Last week, I worked a bit on lb content resolver
Also on Picard, and Picard-plugins
I deployed last version of picard-website (sec fix)
I upgraded grafana but I had to roll back because current version has a bug impacting us, expecting a fix in next minor release
plus usual supervision, system upgrades, minor fixes, and user support.
Also, I had to restart solr on 2 instances, because they were using a lot of disk I/O (it happened in the past).
BTW, upgrading this solr cloud is more and more needed, as the traffic keep increasing

First of all, I’d like to apologize to rdswift for the bad time he had due to my unintentionally ambiguous previous review.
I conveyed some information about docs from memory but I wasn’t sure I remembered it all.
It wasn’t negatively addressed to him, quite the contrary.
It bothered me too so couldn’t do much either, some maintenance on MB website and mainly on MeB Tickets:
Jira security update, moving from Server to Data Center, user management and form apps, triage.
For tickets’ users, Jira’s 2024 roadmap features accessibility improvements and dark theme.
I’ll be back to MB search and server development this week.

nothing to report again I’m afraid, still busy with work but I’m trying to keep a very general eye on things.

Last week I was building a fully-fledged command-line tool on top of my LB client library.
It reads listens from JSON/JSONL files and the LB API, manipulates them and submits or deletes them via the API.
If you have Deno installed, you can safely try it out with deno run https://deno.land/x/listenbrainz@v0.6.1/cli/elbisaur.ts (it is sandboxed and asks for all permissions).
Apart from using elbisaur to correct my mismapped listens and submit listens from my portable player, I also did a few more minor LB PRs which came across my way.
And I was reading some travel guides about Delhi and the surrounding area : )

fixed some core issues related to scrobbling
in the new beta, you can disable if the app should automatically scrobble from any new player detected.
lots of ppl complained about it and experienced it myself so worth it

how does everyone feel about making the Discord # metabrainz 2-way now?
As everyone has been (too well) behaved
We can still turn it off any time from the IRC side or the Discord side, if anything goes wonky

Summary: No major complaints from anyone about matrix (wikipedia). Long prefixes being assigned from the bridge was annoying, but has since been fixed by @lucifer. There is no plan to get rid of IRC. The decision whether or not to move to matrix (as the ‘primary’) will be on the agenda for next weeks meeting.

Lucifer has also made a test server on zulip (wikipedia) (but it seems likely we will use matrix): https://metabrainz.zulipchat.com/

I also forgot to mention that @lucifer set up a zulip server to test as well (though it seems like everyone’s more keen for matrix).

I’ve added links to both those test servers (the links are on the public IRC logs anyway) if anyone wants to check them out - any change should hopefully benefit all contributors, after all.
