I am concerned that MusicBrainz still doesn’t have an efficient way to add new releases, and as time goes on its database will not keep up with other databases.
I signed up to a free jaxsta account and they do seem to have better coverage of new releases, so how does MusicBrainz compete with this or is it not of interest ?
Jaxsta seems to have managed to get the labels to provide them with feeds, I know MusicBrainz tried this many years ago without much success but not the record labels are more used to this is there any chance that they could provide the feed they provide to Jaxsta feed to MusicBrainz as well?
Also the semi-automated way of adding a new release by prepopulating data and then submitting release works, but it only works if adding one release at a time othwerwise things can seem go wrong. And it doesnt provide a way to add artist credits.
Is there any plan to improve it so it can be seeded with credits (composer, instruments ectera) ?
Is there any plan to be able to batch submit releases without having to manually submit each one ?
