Requests for Votes Thread

Can someone vote or approve the following too; which also adds a track to a release which Likedis auto bot has missed?

Thanks for the approvals for both of my edits! Now I can proceed to edits of added recordings.

Can you look here? I’m not sure they have to be merged

Waiting to enter ISRCs

I’ve separated a recording where vocal / non-vocal ver. is mixed up.
And, I want to do further editing to the separated new recording which will not appear until the edit is approved.
Can someone vote or approve the following?

Would like to see the merge edits through.

Correcting artist name throughout release, as the one presently linked is not in the field of soundtrack composition.

This was probably a freedb import of some kind so it put the wrong artist for most of the tracks.

Seasoned editor looks for new subscribers/regular voters, as most of his seem to have moved on.

Apply here if you’re comfortable with ~100 edits/week, including many merges.

I’m not sure if this is appropriate here, as I’m not looking for upvotes directly. Rather, I would like to see more discussion on this topic.

Discussion link. All open edits on this issue.

The general question is whether the title of a release should be included in the track titles of audio dramas or if they should follow the audiobook “Part X” guideline when no specific names are available for the titles.

Hi, I just discovered this after seeing that my first edits have no votes yet and voting is closing soon. I would appreciate if someone can check these 2 edits and vote accordingly:

hi, i dont know how to handle the relationships between the original 3 works and an arranged one, need your help:sob:
https://musicbrainz.org/work/43eec423-718f-4f98-b43c-c71f36200c8e

:sob:I really hate these streaming platforms! Why does the title say ‘arr. by Timothy’, I just checked the Harmonia Mundi official website and saw that it’s an anonymous transcription, not an arrangement! :sob: sorry

Could I get some votes on Edit #122625177 and Edit #122625176? Pretty sure I’m doing the right thing here: a user has added a non-existent* artist in order to do something over at setlist.fm (which I’m not sure is even going to be correct from their point of view), and I think this should be removed. Currently there is a no-vote from the user who made the addition, but I guess these edits are not very visible since they are the only subscriber.

*The artist is two people (Geordie Greep & Seth Evans), who wrote a song together, but to the best of my knowledge have never released anything with the collaboration as an artist credit. There aren’t any shows credited to the duo at setlist.fm either, so I think the idea was to add a note of the form ([Artist] song) to a performance, like they do for cover versions. The song was released on an album with only Greep as the “headline” artist, so I’m not convinced this is what setlist.fm want in the first place.

I assume you also need to delete https://musicbrainz.org/artist/5088e8f4-0210-4ab7-811f-94e41ea8dbec as that is the bigger error here?

Yes, but as far as I understood from the documentation, the only way to do that is to remove all the relationships and wait for it to be auto-deleted.

Good point. The good old “self destruct”. You also have the option to merge it into one of the people on the “&” relationship.

A few too many of these “setlist.fm” oddities appearing. I had a few last month trying to “fix” problems at setlist.fm (or maybe it was last.fm).
