[mailed in] I completed the UI and worked on the improvements suggested by lucifer. Waiting for review from monkey.
My college has also started so I am a bit tight in terms of time these days.
The importer is working fine now. Just have to write some more backend tests and some frontend tests. Also have to stress it more. It’s mostly done nearing towards completion now : )

I had infection in my tear gland which caused significant swelling in one eye, so I was on bed rest.
I’m now recovering and hoping to continue navidrome part this week. Funkwhale part is completed, currently waiting for review.

[ansh] Last week, I reviewed the PRs by holycow23 again.
Fixed some old issues we had with BrainzPlayer which were reported on the community.
And picked up some small tickets.

last week, looked into GSoC PRs and answered queries. also looked into navidrome and funkwhale codebases to improve/integrate parts necessary for LB to interface with them. navidrome is a WIP, funkwhale to open PRs in coming week.
also, some work on troi ratelimits and spark memory issues.

last week I mostly did code review, finished [pull 3604], and helped a bit with testing reosarevok’s paste-a-date branch

also helped with updating our server configs to accurately reflect CB container deployment

I do have a partially-completed update to the config to deal with some issues with that, but nothing committed yet

Estimating the work required
Such that we can offload maintenance effort from LB iOS
And maybe even close it down

i got jetpack/akismet setup for our newly-self-hosted wordpress blog
this seems to be working well to fend off spam
over the weekend i made my first forays into doing a conversion to a static site, proof of concept hopefully to follow later this week

[mayhem] last week was a pretty shit week as I was dealing with a course of antibiotics that really screwed my sleep schedule.
that’s done, hoping to return to normal. now.
but last week was MeB work, some PRs, and a little lb local work as well.
today, used Gemini to create a CAA backup tool, which deffo went faster than if I had coded it myself.
for a simple task like this, that was surprisingly useful and fast.
I wouldn’t use it for more complicated things, since that would increase debugging time.
I feel i just about hit its limits.

last week I switched to a new laptop, that took me some time to have everything working again. Did some Picard PR reviews and testing.
Over the weekend I also looked into updating some of the Discourse plugins that are used on the community forums. The abbrify-words needed some update as the way it was implemented was deprecated. Luckily there was already a pull request to address this. I updated that PR and merged it.
Also my listenbrainz plugin triggered some deprecation warnings in newer Discourse, which I fixed. It now also links to the recording page on LB instead of MB, which is making the links consistent.

This last week I was looking into the PR comments of the three Stats
The frontend for Genre Stats seems to be ready and approved by both ansh and monkey
Hopefully the frontend for the other two will be ready by the end of the week as well
And hopefully lucifer gives me a heads up with the Spark part of the PRs as well

Over the weekend I’ve picked up an old feature draft for Harmony and finished it (except for the UI, which needs more thoughts).
It’s called template releases and allows the user the fill in the gaps with data from a related release, that is stripped off of its identifiers (barcode etc).
Basically any data provider can now be used as a template provider with lower priority and less strict merge checks, but only MB is allowed for now.
With this it will become easier to reuse existing recordings (of the template release), for everything else I finally have to provide the UI to select data from specific providers

Last week I handled the replacement of a burnt NVMe drive on yamaoka
I also worked on a huge Picard patch in order to use ruff format, it required some style changes so we had to discuss implications
Also reviewed some Picard PRs
I deployed changes to Discourse plugins made by outsidecontext on our forums
Plus usual stuff, supervision, system upgrades, user support, MB edits.

This week I spent quite a bit of time working on the date parser, which is now up in https://test.musicbrainz.org/ (very basic implementation)
And other than that just some small tickets and a bunch of time updating PRs and releasing beta/prod

[Hemang Mishra] This week was descent. I’m almost done with the Listening Now integration with BrainzPlayer of the app.
Tried dynamic background using the palette library. It was fun exploring different swatches.

is there any reason to keep it. we still get 1 star reviews for it.
Does any one see any for us to keep it?

Nobody goes to bat for the MP app, it will be removed.
@outsidecontext flags that we mention it in some docs, which will also have to be updated.
