This week I worked on a few small tickets, such as MBS-13682 and MBS-13683.
[MBS-13682: Add language filter to Works tab]
[MBS-13683: Related event dates are missing from API lookup results in JSON format]
I also spent an annoying amount of time trying to figure out why some error messages were being overridden by a second, useless message.
I also worked with yvanzo on deploying the split of the Statistics translation component (moving timeline/history entries to a new History component).
That should make things easier for translators, since the two types of strings were fairly different but mixed before.
Other than that, the usual support and community work, plus adding a few genres and helping mayhem think about notifications a bit.

[mailed in] Last week, I worked on fixing issues related to refresh tokens for Apple Music, Spotify and SoundCloud. I also continued working on the music player UI for BrainzPlayer and tested it extensively on test.LB.
I was mostly travelling last week, so I couldn’t work much.

[mailed in] [ericd] Last week are mostly QoL improvements to the implemented feeds and bug fixing. This week I will start implementing feeds around playlists. I will also try things like cover art or stats art to add more colors to the feed.

[mailed in] Not much last week! Some discussion, reviewed and nitpicked really cool things that other people are doing, and mocked up LB UI for ansh.
I will be away on holiday next week - I am even considering not bringing the laptop… if someone wants to put up their hand to post the meeting notes please go for it, otherwise I will post them when I’m back, no probs!

last week, i helped in debugging issues with apple music login, looked into speeding up the processing of stats in spark cluster, and some misc discussions about notifications etc.
also, did some work on oauth related stuff.

[rimskii] last week, I was working on finishing with my PRs. Finally fixed issues for Apple Import and pushed changes for SoundCloud PR
Also, received a letter for finishing my midterm evaluations and got a feedback from my mentors (which was cute, thanks!)
Honeslty, thats it, since I was busy with teaching kids to code on backend xd

[pranav] I passed my mid term eval and am glad to say that I have learned a lot these past few weeks
I am working on replicating the LB stats chart on the android app
It is proving to be a bit of a hassle, as the format of the data is a bit different…
Hopefully should be done with the stats tab soon and pick up the artist pages…

Last week I did a lot. Lots of PR reviews, lots of discussions and such
Other than that I made a release of MB android. Some dumb policy requirements… but in the meantime improved the code at various places
That’s pretty much it! Life’s getting better again!

Last week I improved MBS release process to include prebuilt Docker images for mirrors.
Released an MBS update - see the blog - and updated beta two times.
On the GSoC mentoring side: had weekly chat meeting and filled in mid-term evaluations.
By the way, thanks to @RustyNova for his frequent feedback and advices!
As reosarevok reported, we worked together on the new translation component for MusicBrainz History.
(Just adding that we hope splitting even more components, the next time might be about data reports.)
Reviewed React PRs and PRs by volunteers in priority. Thanks to @derat and @julian45!
(And Jade too!)
Updated Jira and reviewed a few SEC tickets lagging behind.
Worked on SolrCloud backups again, hoping to settle it this week.
Plus a fair amount of tickets triage.

Last week I finally fixed a performance regression in Harmony which had been annoying me for a while
Adding a single line of code which creates an SQLite index made loading of cached releases up to 100x faster.
On the BB side, I got the import approval process working and solved a few issues which traced back to my minimal test database being too minimalistic (a few migrations were missing).
Now that the stuff is working I have opened three (small) PRs and can focus on the schema change to give imports BBIDs instead of numeric IDs, which will allow us to have relationships for imports (and hopefully simplifies the code in the end).
Also had my 5th MB anniversary over the weekend which I celebrated by adding a few releases

nothing major to report, I was mostly doing MBS code review, rewriting the tests in [PR 3289] (as the implementation changed), and working more on the release editor since last week
had some chats with Jade and yellowhatpro about their projects, did the midterm GSoC eval, and reviewed the notifications document from mayhem a bit
updated beta over the weekend with some PRs from Jade and derat (thanks to both of you :))

[mayhem] last week was a better week for me – personally I am still having days where I feel like I sleep great, but then just walk around like a zombie. today was one of those days.
but overall, slowly improving.
as a lot of people mentioned, I worked on a spec for notifications – that spec is nearly done, but I’ve gotten the feedback that we should wait a bit before implementing it.
I was really hoping to pick up a technical project that I can dive into, but I guess notifications aren’t it. I’ll pick something else.
I also reviewed erricd’s work, which is looking great.
some PRs on various things.
the usual MeB background tasks, including chasing people to pay us more and tons of emails and the like.
also, some work with the FairMuse project (about streaming fairness), more on this later this month.
and I was playing travel agent for our contingent going to the mentor summit this year.

[monkey] Last week I worked on rebuilding one of the LB stats pages which is currently on mobile: LB#2937
[LB-1102: Revamp Top Entity stats pages]
I also looked into importing Spotify listening history in LB on the front-end (so sensitive data doesn’t touch our servers), using kellnerd’s listenbrainz typescript library which supports that feature with extra care taken for edge cases.
Also added an image by aerozol for preview of LB links on social media etc.
On the BB side I had some GSOC chats with kellnerd and looked into our hot reloading infrastructure.
And of bit of general repo upkeep and workflow kicking

Last week, I reviewed the work of twodoorcoupe and merge some of his PRs (along some Bob Swift’s)
I filled in the mid-term eval
I also applied to SEC patches to mbstats and deployed new versions
Plus some user support, system upgrades, usual supervision, and various sysadmin tasks
BTW, I’ll upgrade discourse in few minutes (security patch)
plus MB edits of course.

last week a couple of more image filtering options for Picard were merged
now you can choose to never replace images with smaller ones of the same type or never replace images of certain types
I took a small break then I started working on small improvements to the image processing performance

Last week I made some updates to our Ansible repo, updating some roles and simplifying some firewall configuration
Thought a bit about mayhem’s notification proposal and spent some time looking at what’s involved in getting Solr to interpret the Forwarded HTTP header.

[Jade] I passed my mid-term eval, with some lovely feedback from bitmap
mf1 is now fully functional, with substitutions and switching based on a key
I’ve experimented with publishing it on crates.io - so now [crates.io: Rust Package Registry] is a thing for each of the crates
I created two fully-functional templates based on aerozol 's figma designs that take all appropriate data and substitute in translations

Made a tweak in mrmx to fully enable that.
I added support for monitoring the service with Sentry, you are now able to set the destination for sentry events with an environment variable
And finally I write a comment on the notifications spec

[theflash_] This week I added up a PR which involved adding pagination and restructuring as well as handling of troi-bot notifications and fixing bugs in the feed section
now, Dashboard thing is in on my list and working on it
