[mailed in] Just the usual this week and last.
@outsidecontext answered some questions on Picard 3 for a blog post. Apart from that busy busy with other stuff.
Might have a new permanent (part time) contract, which would make my time allocation for MeB much more consistent. I find out today - wish me luck!

[mailed in] [ericd] Last two weeks I got myself familiar with Atom specs. Found a lib called feedgen which could be useful in the implementation. Also been leveling up my frontend skills by learning React more systematically.

[mailed in] [mayhem] Last week was a bit of a slow week for me, lots of distractions and emails from stupid people. We need to work on making it clear that we have no music for download, so cé the number of DMCA complaints is picking up and then we get reported to hetzer’s abuse team, who are a bunch of blockheads who don’t understand our setup. On that issue, let’s postpone the getaner abuse topic to next week.
Then there were emails, arranging board meeting, summit planning and a bit of technical work.
Sorry for missing the meeting, it’s a holiday in Catalunya.

[monkey] My choice for bee music
Hi all, last week I worked on the bookbrainz admin interface, and specifically improving search admin
Also continued work on refactoring components in LB and rewriting the tests for it
That took most of the time
Oh yeah. The week before I don’t remember exactly but pretty much the same thing
Long running projects.
Also improved the LB download page after lucifer asked to fix a thing

last monday we performed the PostgreSQL v16 and MB schema change upgrades, which went fine
I fixed some issues with the sitemap/JSON dump containers afterward
and also worked on [MBS-13579: Seeding release labels for an existing release is only rarely working], [MBS-13588: Relationship phrase groups with pending edits are sometimes not highlighted], the event art archive PR (mostly rebasing and combining strings), and the read-only connector PR (to distribute database queries to our standby)
other than that I mostly did code review
last-last week was mostly work related to the PG upgrade and MB schema change

Today is a holiday so I went on a hike
Before that I worked on the schema change, plus on merging a bunch of PRs for beta, including most of the flow component syntax migration that removed a few thousand lines of boilerplate from MBS code
Since they aren’t needed anymore, yay
Other than that, a bit of translation, some banning of misbehaving peeps, etc
The week before that was mostly the work needed for last week
Thanks @yvanzo for taking the meeting

Last week, I did grafana & discourse upgrades (in addition of usual sys upgrades)
grafana’s one was long due, they finally fixed a bug that was preventing us to upgrade without breaking a bunch of dashboards
apart that, I mainly worked on Picard3, continuing to clean up code

last week I’ve kept playing around with image processing on picard. Getting it to work in different places and seeing what might be best
then working on finishing up last exams for this semester

I hope everyone is doing great!
pull 3526 was merged after some tweaking, which I’m quite happy about
I added snapshot testing to the mail service to catch any changes or regressions in the output
And I’ve done my first exam of five for this year!

[quote = “Ashutosh_Aswal”]
[yellowhatpro] working on the polling service currently.
I’ve been slow for the last 2-3 weeks due to college exams
hopefully much progress from this week onwards.

The last two weeks I’ve been working on getting Harmony ready for early testing (usage tooltip and other UX improvements, better logging etc) before I invited a few people to do that.
Then I’ve been reviewing a good amount of feedback (thanks to everyone who participated!), fixed a few bugs, worked on improvements and replied to messages…
I still haven’t addressed everything, but it is looking good so far.
People are mostly missing the same features as me and there were no serious issues which would delay the public announcement.
This evening I will deploy another bunch of improvements and we will see how it goes : )

Hi. Mostly code review of zas’ refactorings for Picard. Also looked into using pyside6 instead of pyqt6 for Picard 3. But hit some problems with current config system.

I was playing with the LB android app and giving some touch ups. Once we have BP revamp in, we could make a beta release
Waiting on our contributors for that. Everyone has been busy lately!!
Busy months for all of us I guess

Last Monday was the yearly MusicBrainz schema change release (in place of last week’s meeting).
So I mainly worked on this beforehand, and also the day after for testing the mirrors’ upgrade.
We postponed releasing MusicBrainz search upgrades to allow for more tests and upgrades, thus it is becoming my main focus again.
Otherwise, I reviewed a bunch of MBS PRs last week, thanks to @bitmap and @reosarevok for having updated beta.
