and after that I will be done with this ordeal which turned out to be much larger than anticipated!
Next then is the 6 or so regularly scheduled bagpipes in [INST-773: Bagpipe]

[monkey] I had a short week last week, reviewing PRs and polishing the LB UI
Also hung out with lucifer
Also continuing to set up my new machine, little by little as I find more tools I’m missing

Last week I reviewed some MBS PRs and updated beta.mb.o.
I worked on upgrading Perl to 5.38.2 for MBS, and looked further into Ansible for SolrCloud.
Also did a bit of maintenance for aphex/sitemaps/jira.
Plus the usual tickets triage and support.

last week, I mainly handled replacements of NVMe drives replacements, many are showing health issues
I also sorted out issues related to mail sending on some servers, cleaned up GMail config accordingly, and conducted a set of tests to ensure everything works as it should
plus usual PR reviews, MB edits, supervision, minor sysadmin tasks.

Nothing new from last week, only taking notes for stuff I might do in the upcoming weeks.

I followed some friends/bands to Melbourne, and did very little other than have a great time
Haven’t caught up on my pings and emails yet, but back at it from today!

Did pretty much nothing last week workwise. Hung out with mayhem and monkey in Barcelona for most of the time.
Awesome week overall, will get back to work later this week.

last week I continued working on my new ansible role to manage zookeeper, which is now pretty much complete.
this means I can now move onto a role for Solr

last week I updated a couple PRs for sitemap and JSON dump fixes (pull 3092 and pull 3194)
& finished/submitted some related improvements needed for further changes (pull 3197), probably more this week
I also worked a bit more on upgrading popperjs to floating-ui (which is its successor) in musicbrainz-server, because it seems to be needed to fix some things in pull 3113
otherwise, did a bit of code review and helped move some services between serge & ludwig due to disk issues

[pranav] Last week I continued work on Brainz Player revamp in ListenBrainz Android
I couldn’t do much as I gave a 72 hr hackathon …
Was an awesome experience … learnt a lot and got very good reviews about our prototype.
Will continue working on the app this week and hopefully have solid progress before the next weekly meet.

Opened [MOBILE-197: Design Revamp of feed in LB-iOS] for the same, need aerozol’s approval
did some brainstorming of ideas on the iOS side, picked up user dashboard
Cooked some UI mockups for the dashboard

[mayhem] last week was prepping and holding the board meeting.
nothing of interest happened, except that we have a new director!

Hazel is a great asset to the board and is already helping us making better connections with SoundCloud. [reo adds: Also has a lot of guitars]
then the usual emails and such; the rest of the time was spent hanging out with lucifer and going to Sagrada Famila and the Dalí museum. hard work week, really. : )

Not much for me last week. Usual chats with people. Relaxed a bit and brainstormed ideas. Hopefully this week will be a banger!

Last week I was at the board meeting, then immediately got sick
And was fairly weak the whole week, so didn’t do anything super hard, but still worked on the Spanish translation for MB, plus drafted a schema change announcement blog post and worked on some small improvements
Plus the usual support / community, anyway
And today I put out a new MBS release and helped clarify a couple guidelines since there was some discussion in the forums last week (Dutch and artist intent ones)

[sent post-meeting] [rimskii] For this week, I actually havent done anything significant regarding coding
I’m still working on importing playlists, Im working on migrating code to troi patch
Checking how to work with Lastfm, and changing the code from the front to backend
Also, with @UltimateRiff we are discussing and working on adding playlist folders and tags/categories, so stay tuned ; )

[sent post-meeting] For the past week, I’ve set up the ListenBrainz server locally and delved into the code. I’ve been preparing my GSoC proposal for the task “revamping Last.fm listens importer,” and I also submitted my first PR to the project (pull 2807). More to go!

Schema change announcement date

So, schema change should happen in two months. We should pick whether on May 13 or May 20

It is agreed that May 13th is a good date to announce the schema change, as the drafted blog post looks nearly ready to go. The Solr 9 upgrade may be announced on the same day. For the full discussion please read the logs.
