[monkey] Last week I worked on finishing up ansh 's PR for a new ListenBrainz homepage
It’s groovy like a lava lamp
I also helped review a big PR that will turn ListenBrainz into a single page application
Therefore paving the way for uninterupted music playback
I deployed a new version of BookBrainz, which is causing some issues with the search server which I’m investigating
And I continued reviewing PRs, as usual.

[ansh] Last week I mostly worked on migrating user dashboard pages to SPA.
I also migrated the explore pages to SPA in the same PR.
I also spent some time on LB tickets

last week i worked on refactoring LB to reduce connection churn and reduce the excessive database connections LB creates.
did some brainstorming on OAuth stuff, improved the stats generation process.
also re-ran the year in music report again.

[mayhem] last week was the usual background MeB stuff.
I also worked on packaging for the content resolver before I realized that we have too many packages and we decided to wrap the resolver into troi.
so, I spent time doing that and I am almost finished merging the docs for it.
PR hopefully soon.
I also worked a tiny bit on lb-local – hoping to have a wider demo of it soon.
and we signed a new unicorn last week, but I haven’t gotten the signed contract back yet.
strangely, they’ve already paid us. that has NEVER happened before.
I guess that that makes things offficial. : )
Warner Chappell, the publishing arm of Warner Music is our new customer.
our first publishers.
so, now we have a label and a publisher, which is pretty neat.

I’ve still been a busy beaver with other stuff, but had a nice meeting with monkey last week
I got motivated to procrastinate on other projects thanks to that and did a few things
Finished the LB local logo
Music Neighbourhood socials/posts etc, great job ansh and monkey, people are definitely enjoying it!
Spent a while on on drafting a recap of updates LB got last year… which has ended up being a looooong list. But very fun

Last week, we fixed an issue regarding plugins API not refreshing on Picard website
The issue is now fixed, and the new website deployed
We had an issue with zombies processes on hendrix, related to sir-prod container
The issue is still to be investigated, I added a report in syswiki about this incident, but a simple container restarts removed zombies
I upgraded discourse
plus usual supervision, system upgrades, MB edits, user support.

I was mostly fixing issues and test failures in a few pull requests I have open (for the EAA, artist credit editor, and cache changes)
I also did a bunch of code review and upgraded Jenkins.

Last week I finished dealing with a lot of old spam, worked on a few small tickets (such as [MBS-13472: Relationship showing old recording name instead of current state of name field]) and merged some others with bitmap’s help
Plus I started reviewing the Spanish MB translation, and while doing that found a fair amount of strings to improve so I sent PRs for those too
Then I moved to Belgium
This week will be some work + some getting our bearings
So things might be slower than usual : )

[ApeKattQuest] Have done even more research on dudes, wikipedia is a Mess!!
it might not seem like I’ve done a lot this week, but this is actually a lot of research untangling these damn things and also fixing errors on wikipedia (!) : o
This week should also be a bit afk-y due to some stuff, but I hope to finish the dudahey this week.

I started last week with fixing up release barcode handling in MB.
Then reviewed some small PRs and updated beta once again.
Also did some maintenance in Jira and Weblate, and provisioned updating the wiki.
Last but not least, unscrambled changes to be made to MB Solr for upgrading soon (cf. agenda).
Plus tickets triage, support

I was doing usual review stuff and added some ideas for GSoC on the mobile side
Dealing with life other than that. Have a holiday coming up soon so excited about that!

last week I worked with zas to merge a PR that resolve an issue with the Docker plugin being enabled on all servers
I also fixed some issues with the consul, consul-template and openresty roles

I have nothing to report for last week, was afk most of the time.

It [SolrCloud] has to be upgraded
The cluster is now 100% resources almost all the times
So we need to migrate to increase the overall performance, and upgrade SOLR in the process
The idea is to deploy a set of VMs in pararel

We need to organize that [server reboot] this week if possible
While at it, we’ll upgrade consul too
and reboot all servers
