[monkey] [mailed in] Hello everyone, I am currently on a train heading back home and can’t guarantee I’ll be online.
I was away last week so I don’t have much to report anyway. I found a few hours to continue progress on the year in music report and to review a PR or two, but that’s about it.
Back to work tomorrow !
Next can be ΚΑΛΛΙΣΤΗΙ, "the most beautiful”.

Last week was very similar to the previous one, I have continued working on my MB seeder a bit.
And today I verified all the German translations for MBS which needed editing after the source strings had been modified slightly.
Finished that just in time before these beta changes would have been released to production with lots of missing translations : )

Been a weird week, lots of little and urgent things sent through to get done before the break (from other orgs/clients)
Mainly I worked with Yvanzo to do a video and written tutorial/intro/walkthrough for Weblate, to coincide with the official announcement/launch
Otherwise a bit of moderation and social media, especially around YIM

[jasje] Last week was exams but managed to put some work in as well
Since I was deep into fixing listen service
I identified a bug with the submission duration
so went on write a custom timer for our usecase
other than that
we have a new contributor for android

[mayhem] last week I was saying moin a lot, since I was in the land of moiners
(I have a picture for that too)
I did a few things among the background tasks, but not a whole lot directed work.
but whenever I was warming up inside, I worked on lb local and found several bugs in lb radio since I had to make more changes to get it all to work.
but, I’m happy to say that tag radio now works again local collections and works fairly well!
and today, I went back to to the YIM mosaic.
aerozol: I implemented the masking of the final image, so you wont need to do that. I might try sticking a logo in too. we’ll see.
hopefully that will all be done tomorrow.

Last week, I reviewed and tested a bunch of Picard PRs
I also upgraded grafana instances
I fixed a small issue with dashboards after that
plus usual supervision, system upgrades, user support, MB edits, fin.

last week I mostly spent time reviewing open PRs for musicbrainz-server: hoping to keep the count (relatively) low into the new year
other than that, I spent time upgrading popperjs to floating-ui (its actively-maintained successor), which we use for displaying popovers in the relationship editor and artist credit editor, among other things

last week i worked on various YIM related tasks finishing up most of the backend stuff. looks great so far.

Last week reosarevok and I finally merged a large batch of text refactoring in MBS UI.
reosarevok also went through most of comments left by salo.rock on Weblate.
And I also went through thousands of checks, updated docs and reported a bug.
We updated beta with a fair amount of other refactoring pull requests (including the new mutate cow raised by bitmap).
The list of OSS donations is now full
Getting GSoC ideas ready for all projects has been postponed to January.
As I was planning for Jira upgrade, I found that we should rather move to Data Center which is actually different from Cloud.
I will do further verifications about add-ons, but it is still self-hosted and we can manage it with Ansible.
A downtime of tickets has to be expected this week.
(for a major Server upgrade)

I spent most of last week fixing strings, then looking at changes in the Spanish translation, finding more broken stuff, fixing that on the code, etc
Also updating PRs and making them ready for merging
And releasing beta a few times with the updated string fixes
That’s really about it, sounds like little but it took forever : )

[ansh] I was busy last week with my exams so I don’t have much to report. I did spend some time on refactoring the fresh release components and on the Artist Similarity page.

Last week we released the beta of the ListenBrainz iOS app!
Kudos to theflash_ !
I can already see some users downloaded and reported feedback
Other than that I was investigating some bugs for the android app
That’s pretty much it. Got my plate full with work and random stuff as well. I feel like I am getting sick after being back to India. Kinda becoming like a tradition, but maybe I do need some good rest!

[Pratha-Fish] Nothing much from me this week either in terms of work, due to the same reasons as before. ![]()
Buuut on a personal note, I did join an internship at a Marketing Firm in the USA!
That being said, I’ll definitely be continuing my contributions at MetaBrainz in the meanwhile! :DD
I’ll be working on the data engineering side of things, so I am definitely excited to see how and where I could help scale stuff like ListenBrainz for a larger number of users :))
