I was using the site earlier yesterday with no worries. Tried to log onto it today and I cannot get on.
I know it is an IP block because I used a VPN to change my IP and then it worked perfectly, I also used my phones mobile data and it also worked perfectly.
I read somewhere that this is due to a QNAP NAS device, but I don’t own one of these.
I think this may be due to the fact that my ISP used CG-NAT and my ip changes every so often.
Who can I speak to so I can get this IP unblocked though, or figure out what is going on.
This might be due to spam from your IP. If the IP was owned by someone else before, and got blacklisted, then you might be blacklisted too.
The devs are on the community page but the easier way would be to message directly on IRC (You can use Matrix or Discord too)

I cannot access Musicbrainz from my computer. I couldn’t even access this forum. After I enabled my work VPN (which gives me a IP address in another country), it works fine. I suspect it’s some kind of firewall problem on your end. My IP is in the range 177.44.0.0/16.
Can you provide your exact IP (IPv4/v6)?

It works now, thank you for the help! Unsure how I got IP restricted in the first place, but it might be my Jellyfin server when I tried to refresh all the library metadata.

Hi, I’d like to find out if my IP has been banned or blocked from accessing musicbrainz.
I believe it’s IP-related as I can access it on any other network except my home network. I can’t find (and haven’t added) any firewall blocks or rules. It may have been due to me tagging a large library of files recently (maybe a month ago).
My IP according to canyouseeme.org is 138.59.25.13 (my network is behind a CGNAT).
I’d appreciate any help I can get to rectify this and I apologize for any wrong-doings on my part, if any.

This IP was recently blocked because it was used by bad bots, I just unblocked it, sorry for the inconvenience.
