Listenbrainz for Radio DJs / Spinitron alternative

I recently began hosting a music show on my local community radio station. They use a service called Spinitron to track plays across shows and inject metadata into their streams and broadcasts. It’s seems like a cool service but Listenbrainz is superior in a number of ways.

I’ve started making notes about what could be done to improve Listenbrainz for this use case, hopefully there are some other DJs who could chime in as well.

1. User Bios

Musicbrainz accounts provide a bio section but these are not displayed on the listenbrainz user page. This would be very helpful for explaining the account is linked to a radio show and provide external links for listening to archives / following on other platform / donating to the station.

2. Importing listens from a TSV / CSV file

Spinitron provides a tool for exporting “spins” to a TSV or CSV file. This would be great for importing older shows.

there’s a ticket on the ScrobblerBrainz for MusicBee project for adding support for submitting listens from internet radio stations, and I wonder if there’s anything that should be added to the listen submission specific to radio, such as the station name/URL, or if music_service should be used (and if so, how?) I feel like the decisions here can theoretically be expanded to over-the-air radio as well (tho I don’t know if there’s a program or hardware for actually doing this as of yet…)

Radio station as "Type" for label(/company/entity), and related relationships

I just added the Radio Station I’m active in: Radio Centraal - MusicBrainz I have a few propositions/questions abut these kind of entities: -As radio stations play a rather important role in the world of music, I wonder: wouldn’t it be worth adding a “Type” for this kind of entries. My suggestion would be to use “Broadcaster”, as this would cover any other related entities, such as Television stations. -I also wanted to add people/artists making radio programs in the relations.
