Continuing the discussion from Unicode characters userscript:
After some time, the topic first post becomes read only.
You can turn the first post into a wiki post, also for a limited time.
Once turned into wiki, it can always be edited, but by everyone, not just you.
The other drawback is that you can never turn a wiki post back to normal post.
This must be a site setting specific to the metabrainz forum. On other discourse forums the wiki status can always be revoked. Then again on other forums only mods & maybe regulars can turn posts into wikis.
Wouldn’t it be better to just remove the edit limit for posts (at least by lv 2 members and higher) and use wikis just as they are supposed to?
