We’ve recently started being heavily throttled by the Wikipedia API. They have an alternative REST API which may have a higher rate limit. I’m looking into it.

Would it be possible to just display the link to wikipedia if the article snippet isn’t available?

If you can use userscripts, there is one of mine that does that, “mb. ALL LINKS”.
