I often listen to covers of different songs, including translations, so I started filling in the “disambiguation” field for works by default when I add data to the MB DB. I usually follow this template:
- “a work for [artist’s name] song”
- “[language name] translation of [artist’s name] song”
In these cases, it’s not difficult to fill the “disambiguation” field by hand. However, when I add works to tracks in releases, I feel it requires too much effort. In many instances, it’s sufficient to use this template for the “disambiguation” field.
