So, when I was adding the Nickelodeon Lo-Fi (Vol. 2) release, I saw that most of the “artists” were there, added two new ones that weren’t, added the proper “feats” to the track, and called it a day.
However, when I was tagging one of the songs from Fairly Odd Bops on Picard, I saw that the artist was set as [theatre]. This got me down a rabbit hole with more questions than answers, mainly when reading the documentation on the Artist’s credit section. So, I decided to ask here what the consensus is for the use of the [theatre] artist VS. creating a new one.
If it is the cast of a show, should it be [theatre]? Should you create a new artist? I had no idea that these special artists existed until now, and most of the entries I have seen that had the cast or fictional groups had their own entries as artists.
