I’ve been working on and off on a project of adding, cleaning up, and work-ifying live recordings of the mountain goats.
I was following up on some of that, and noticed that I can’t find the edit that deleted or merged the recording from these edits: https://musicbrainz.org/edit/42786940 https://musicbrainz.org/edit/42500033
I paged back through the edits linked to the mountain goats and didn’t find a removal edit. Is there another way to search that might help me find how it was removed or where it went?

See, in the first edit page sidebar, Raw edit data for this edit that will lead you to a release for instance.
In the past release edits, I see that you have removed the 5 track medium that contained this recording.
I have not checked your other edit but now you know the trick.

Does removing a medium automatically delete any recordings only on that medium? I would have expected them to become standalone recordings at that point.
It removes them unless they have relationships (so, they’re not “empty”).
