Vinyl colours, same catalog number

I just submitted this entry:

This album has been released in several different colours, but the cover, music, and catalog number are all the same.

I added “black vinyl” as disambiuation in preparation of having all colours in the database, but realised it might work differently on MB. So, the question: do we need to add a note about the album being avaiable in different colours or do we need to submit a new entry for each colour?

Yes, a different color would be a different release in MusicBrainz. In general, differences in cover art cause a new release.

Yes, one release per color in that case. I usually add that info in the disambiguation field, just like you did. Just to elaborate on @yindesu’s answer: a different vinyl color is basically a different cover art for medium.
