tuns out peaple made 3 copys of the one artist im adding them all to Martin J. Nystrom there is Marty Nystrom, Martin Nystrom and Martin J. Nystrom

That is not unusual. Especially if someone only has a compilation album where his name appears they may not realise it is all the same person. Also a lot of the items you are working on seem to only previously have had a single edit from the freedb import bot. Which would also explain the lack of checks.
Once you have merged them we’ll make sure the Aliases are all in place correctly.
Interesting… notice how now the two Martin and Martin J which are being merged there have two versions of the same release there but with different names.
Australia’s Top 25 Praise Songs and Australia’s Top 25 Worship Songs look like they may be the same as they have the same bar code.
that is weird… they are not the same edition. One is a single CD. The other is TWO CDs. And comically the TWO CD version is in reversed order to the ONE CD edition. Well, not totally reversed, but you’ll see what I mean.
Yep - same release, just CD1 and CD2 swapped around. I have now Merged the Recordings. And now will also put in an edit for those two to Merge the Release Groups.
