I came across this release which, as far as I can see, has no information to allow identification of the release. No artwork, or performers, label info, catalog or barcode numbers, and the recordings aren’t connected with any other release. The release was added by what appears to be a ‘bot’ user, so I don’t know if there’s anyone to ask about it.
What can be done here? If there’s no identifiable info, should the release be removed? Or merged, but with what?

Yes, that was added by a bot which imported from FreeDB/gnudb. Many of the imports are low quality.
I think the source release is https://gnudb.org/cd/910eab83.
I found this by searching for “Overture 1812” in gnudb.org (https://gnudb.org/search/album/“Overture+1812”) and selecting the only release with the correct number of tracks. I confirmed by checking that the track names also match.
Unfortunately, that doesn’t reveal much other than the track lengths. Maybe that is enough to track down another source?

Try following some AcoustIDs and look at the “Additional user-submitted metadata”.
Note the repeats of titles like: “Ouverture “1812” - The Nutcracker - Romeo and Julie” Maybe you can spot something common to all tracks on that release.
Example: https://www.discogs.com/release/15171626-Pyotr-Ilyich-Tchaikovsky-Karl-Prisner-Philharmonia-Polonica-Ouverture-1812-The-Nutcracker-Romeo-Juli
Track lengths also match give or take rounding errors.

That’s clever.
Artist Sofia Festival Orchestra
and album Overture "1812"
were common to the 5 AcoustIDs I looked at. Googling led to https://www.discogs.com/release/11417907-Piotr-Ilijch-Ciaikovskij-Sofia-Festival-Orchestra-Julian-Kovatchev-Sinfonie-4-5-E-6-Ouverture-1812-L . Disc 1 seems like a good match: the track names are right and the lengths are within a couple seconds (other than the last track, which is off by 10 seconds).

And already we have three different results of the same stuff being repackaged. LOL! But maybe you Classic Heads can spot a common thread.
I guess is is one of those package of tracks being re-licenced and sold again and again.

It looks like you found a different release of the same recordings I found, so that seems pretty conclusive.
