"under exclusive license to" label?

i just added the international version of aespa - girls ( Release “Girls” by aespa - MusicBrainz ) but i’m not sure if i should add an extra label. the packaging specifies “under exclusive license to” Warner Records, and the other US/ww versions already on MB only have WR as the release label, so i’m wondering what the best way to handle this would be

i’m pretty sure WR just had exclusive rights to distributing the US/international versions of the album, so i feel like it should just be added as a relationship. does this sound right, and if so should i edit the other versions to have SM as the release label and WR just under relationships for those, too?

That is a relationship that can be added. Don’t add it as an imprint unless you see the actual logo (imprint) on CD releases.

the Warner Records logo is on the album, right next to the logo for the main label SM

So, the imprints should be SM Entertainment & Warner Records.

okay, so any of the labels with their logo on the packaging should be listed as one of the labels under “release event” then?

Yes. Release event labels or “imprints” are the ones that have the logos. The other companies mentioned should be linked via relationships according to how they are listed.
