Unable to fix "inspired the name of" RG-artist relationship

The “inspired the name of” relationship created by Edit #103325108 - MusicBrainz is backward. I’m trying to fix it, but I can’t figure out how to.

The relationship is still shown at Release group “GUTTER MAGIC” by WALL&VOID - MusicBrainz, but oddly not at https://musicbrainz.org/artist/aba64937-3334-4c65-90a1-4e6b9d4d7ada/relationships (edit: I was mistaken about this; see below), and it also isn’t shown when I try to edit the RG at https://musicbrainz.org/release-group/00959a12-07bb-44e4-b97e-776b02d87137/edit. Am I missing something?

(Aside: MusicBrainz desperately needs some sort of rate limit for beginner editors. Enthusiastic new editors who haven’t read/internalized the style guidelines can create enormous volumes of work for other editors who care about correctness, and that’s not even counting the messes that never get noticed because they aren’t linked to artists with lots of subscribers.)

Edit it from the other side

Thanks! I think that I missed the relationship on the artist side due to looking for “inspired” rather than “named after”.

I still suspect that there’s a server bug here, since the relationship isn’t listed at either https://musicbrainz.org/release-group/00959a12-07bb-44e4-b97e-776b02d87137/edit or the RG section of https://musicbrainz.org/release/9cfb19e9-e640-4b6b-af2e-ddc24ac6f9f9/edit-relationships.

It’s not a bug, it’s the cardinality.

Ah, thanks for the link. I can understand the reason for this behavior for some relationship types, but it still feels confusing for a relationship to be listed on an entity’s relationships page but then disappear after clicking “edit”. Another edge case to file away, I guess…
