Two different artist names on cover and medium

Hi all

I have a question:

On the cover of a release the artist is named Lodewyck van Avezaath on the medium however he is named Lodewijck van Avezaath.

So when I uploaded the release I used both names. Am I correct in doing this?

Hi Tiske,

If you look closely, you’ll find the “van” bit is there on the cover as well.

The problem is in the Y and IJ

I see. Lodewijck was preparing for the international market. Then I agree with @salo.rock that it is best to stick with the name printed on the sleeve. It will simply get added as an alias to the “lange ij” artist entry, if I am not mistaken.

Please fix your opening post as:

On the cover of a release the artist is namend named Lodewyck van Avezaath

Because it is adding to the confusion.
I understood same as @biocv and lost much time to understand.

I’d probably favor the outside cover over the inside

actually, aliases need to be added manually. I’d recommend adding an alias for this as well
