This is currently a unique release group. Looking at Wikipedia, there is one main release with 2 variant releases. All 3 releases are currently in the same release group: Release group “The Mighty Death Pop!” by Insane Clown Posse - MusicBrainz. However, all 3 different releases have completely different recordings and track listings. Seems to me that it should be 3 different release groups, but I didn’t want to start separating without bringing attention to it in the community. Wikipedia treats them as the same release group. On digital media, the main release isn’t even available on Apple Music, but is on Spotify in a box set release that contains all 3 variants in one. Suggestions? Should I separate into 4 release groups (1 being the box set as it seems it used to be on iTunes in the RG, but no longer is)? Or should I just leave it as is but that seems to go against the usual question of “Does this release have the same recordings”?

Reasons I would leave them in the same Release Group.
- The Fans treat this as one album. The 12th studio album. The variations released on one day, but one core album.
- The first disc in the two disc albums is the same in all variants. Same 17/18 tracks each time. You just get a different bonus disk each time.
- Not that much different to a “deluxe” disk. Or where you get “with DVD” or “With outtakes” bonus disks.
- The Digitial Media “boxset” is really just putting all three versions into your shopping basket at the same time. Note also how that is the one of the “17 track disc 1”, and then all the bonus content bundled together.

I guess because I was only really looking at the digital versions. None of them are the same at all. I suppose they just released each “bonus” disc, etc. as a separate release. Looking at the CDs I see what you mean.

I was looking in the Release Group. In there the Digital Releases are still listed with their “disc 1” parts.
I can see how the digital shops could just list the second disks as separate items. Especially if they are now not available. But really these are still part of the original product, just being sold to you without the “disc1” part.
Colours link the track lists…
