Given my recent interactions, it seems to me like the user @maximm is using some LLM/Ai bot.
See Edit #145962479 - MusicBrainz or Edit #145961853 - MusicBrainz . This user also has a lot of other open edits related to Edit #145962822 - MusicBrainz / Edit #145962496 - MusicBrainz .
How do we proceed with such users?
I gave this person the benefit of the doubt, until it started using phrases such as
All the editing is completely sandboxed within the new release itself
Which does not make any sense in the context of a recording edit.

If you report the user from the link at the bottom of their profile page, admins will look into it.

The phrasing and language style in the note seems exactly the same choice as the usual chatbots. I think bot.

It is also possible the comment is from someone who finds it hard to write what they mean. I know a mate with dyslexia who is now using a chatbot to write his emails for him. It is what he wants to say, but not his own words.
This editor you point at has only done two edits to the database so far. Does not look bot like to me.

Yes, some people can over explain. I know I can get way too wordy with some of the things I post. It is a trait of some people. And I can see how someone like that could feed a chatbot to get and answer and end up with even more words.
Be nice to the person, lets see how they respond. If they can’t respond, then maybe they are a bot. OR if not you have just scared off someone who wasn’t confident with the written word.

I have used Copilot before for edit notes. Not a lot, but I have. Are we not supposed to ever do that? I do at least check sources, etc. though to make sure it’s not wrong info.

The collected ISRCs data dates back more than 10 years ago. Removing them without checking the non-remastered CDs seems unjustified to me. That is why they find so many “mistakes”.

Seems a perfectly acceptable use of the tool. If it is being used to write a clear note that should be acceptable.
When the human is the brains of the operation, checking the content of the note, I can’t see what would be wrong with that.
I see AI like your teenage assistant. Happy to run around and find something out and write up the report, but tends to fantasy\hallucination when not knowing an answer. Too keen to please. So all results need checking.
My dyslexic friend is now more confident with email due to having AI write the notes for him.
When I look at the examples from musicish the problem I see is that there is a lot of waffle making it hard to validate the checks. Getting a lawyer bot on the task is a bit overkill. Especially as the same text is getting repeated again and again. I gave up reading.
