Stuck at Loading Album Information

I haven’t been able to use Picard the last couple days because it remains stuck at “Loading Album Information”. I have tried resetting my settings, uninstalling/reinstalling and checking my firewall.

i am unsure what else to try? It is doing this for all albums.

Can anyone suggest a replacement program?

Version: 1.3.2 (maybe there is a newer version i don’t know about…)

FIXED: Unticked Cover Art Archive in the Cover Art menu

It’s unlikely anyone will be able to help unless you say what version you are using and provide excerpts from the log showing what it does when stuck.

Figured it out. Unticked anything involving Album Art from the options menu fixes it…

Weird?

It seems Picard before 1.4 doesn’t like to be redirected to HTTPS, for coverartarchive.org.

I had that problem for 2 days now, thanks OP that cleared that error.
I used to be stuck on “loading Album information”, don’t quite understand why it started suddenly 2 days ago.

I saw that unticking “Sites on the whitelist” is enough to fix it.

Where can I edit the whitelist?

We’ve disabled the redirect, so it should work again now.
