Speed up massive cover art upload?

As a little “Thank you very much for your huge work” on this 240 CD release for Helmut von Karajan:

I started to upload the cover art pictures.

Unfortunately the first box set alone (13 pictures) took more than 10 minutes to label and upload to the CAA (and 3 attempts due to input errors and reordering).

Do you know any other way how I could add the missing 239 CD covers and the missing 9 Box set cover art pictures (totally 439) in less then the estimated ~6 hours upload time?

CAA storage is at Internet Archive, it seems very slow at the moment, I would just postponed a 240 CD cover upload.

It is usually quite fast, but not at the moment.

Thanks for that hint!

I just found that beside the 240 CD-release there are also 10 x Box-Sets like this and this until this with the same content and they already have the box covers and booklets.

Therefore my uploads are unnecessary IMHO. What do you think?

I’ve been uploading a lot of scans lately - I find that anything under 10mb goes through fine, if a bit slow.

Bigger also goes through fine, but very sloooooow.

That said I just leave it running in a window for however long it takes. Been fine so far, even if it takes an hour for a few big pics. It’s been slow ever since the CAA came back, I wouldn’t hold my breath re. it getting faster soon, unless someone has some insider info?

From a user perspective I think it is useful to have the images on each relevant release, even if it’s duplication from a data perspective.

edit: oh wait, they are being merged? Then the pics should be merged too, I would wait
