I noticed a special concert screening has been aded to MusicBrainz as a “concert” event:
The concert itself was held several months earlier and has its own MusicBrainz entry. The London July event is instead an officially recognized “delay view” screening – a special event for UK fans to enjoy the concert after the fact.
I made some (currently open) edits to help disambiguate the screening from the original concert, but it’s still awkward to categorize this type of event as a “concert” for MusicBrainz. It’s not a run-of-the-mill theatrical showing of a concert movie, but it’s not in itself a concert either.
Looking around I did find several other events like this. I’m wondering how they should be handled, e.g. whether we need another event type for them and whether they have a place in MusicBrainz.
