Shin Megami Tensei on MEGA-CD recording merging

A game dump of Shin Megami Tensei on Sega CD has been added to MusicBrainz.
I got the dump and after converting the tracks to wav files, I compared them against tracks from this release which was the first official release that had these tracks.

All of the recordings from the newly added release are a bit quieter and start a second or 2 later. The wave graphs (I don’t know if that’s how those are called) seemed the same except for the placement of the waves because of the silence at the beginning of each track. I haven’t checked the audio fingerprints so I don’t know how similar the recordings are in that manner.

Are these recordings fine to merge?

No AcoustID on the new MEGA-CD release.
I guess you can merge the tracks, if you actually ear checked and even compared the wave forms!
The durations are also the same.
So, there is 2 second silence less at the end (if there is 2 second more at the start)?

Seems like the tracks I got from the game dump are a second longer than the tracks from the official release.
Here is a screenshot of the wave forms (the game dump track is on the bottom, the official track is on the top):

Track times from the reported MEGA-CD release do match with track times from reported 30th Anniversary CD 3.

But your durations are 1 second longer than them?
Don’t submit your AcoustID to MEGA-CD release, if times don’t match.

But I guess, we could merge these 28 matching (duration, AC and title) recordings.

I will merge the recordings then. Thanks for answering!
