Did I miss a style change in the use of the right single quotation mark?
Over the years I have seen the apostrophe changed to the single right quotation mark, now I am seeing the reverse with no voting required. Is there a war going on? Personally I don’t care, I use the apostrophe and I prefer it, I just don’t want to see things changed back and forth. Some of the recent 96 edits of this type:

Those edits are all incorrect.

I reverted them and left a note. Hopefully, they will stop undoing proper punctuation. I’m surprised that someone with so few edits could automatically change those.

because all (or at least almost all) punctuation and capitalization changes are auto-edits for everyone
