Autoeditorship doesn’t apply to just your own page, but to all pages, so yeah, that’s not something we generally elect people for unless someone has made a ton of varied edits across the database 
That said, if a particular change is blocking you from being able to make others on top of it, it is allowed to ask for help on Requests for Votes Thread for example (but don’t do that for every edit, just ones that are blocking something else).
