Freegal is a streaming and download platform that’s free to use, but only if you have a library card for a participating library. Also, I think libraries can choose whether to offer streaming, downloads, or both. Does it make sense to use both the “download for free” and “stream for free” relationship types, even though those options are restricted to some library patrons? Related:

There’s also Hoopla that functions the exact same way, at least in the US. I can’t speak for whether it works with international libraries.

Oh right. And if you include videos of music performances (concerts, operas, ballets, etc.), I think there are a few others. https://classica.stingray.com/ comes to mind, but I think I’ve seen a few others.

I found this thread while trying to find the same answer regarding hoopla and Freegal, but it appears that it still has yet to be addressed. With the option descriptions, it does seem that the “free” options apply best, but the sites also require registration. Surprising that there doesn’t seem to be more MB users who use these platforms to address this, as well as adding support for them in the UI.
