Olafur Arnalds released a single of “choir versions” of a few of his songs. These are completely new recordings of the tracks (all of which appear on this album), arranged for a choir performance. I wanted to add a relationship to the original tracks but was unsure what the classification was. Are these considered remixes?

No, it is not a remix if it was re-recorded. It is just a new recording. It can be related to the earlier recording through the recorded work. Both will be a “recording of” the same work.¹ Currently, no works have been created for the tracks on this album.
¹) I assume we are considering these works as popular music. In the context of classical music, there would be a new work for the new recording, an arrangement of the original work.
