Redundant “writer” relationship when composer & lyricist are present?

Quick data-cleaning question about best practice for work relationships.

If a work already has explicit composer and lyricist relationships (both correctly defined), is it still recommended to keep a general writer relationship as well?

From a data-model perspective it seems redundant, but I’d like to confirm whether there is a reason to retain it.

That usually happens after a merge of some form.

It also depends where data came from. Releases usually say “Written by”, and the online payment copywrite systems break it up more to “Lyrics” and “Composer”.

No one will complain if “Writer” is removed when the other two credits are in place.
