Recommendation for media player to replace iTunes

Out of interest, can you recommend a media player to replace iTunes?
KODI won’t install on OSX El Capitan and I’m not planning to upgrade the OS because iTunes is replaced with Music which is terrible, and MP3Tag no longer works as it’s x32 or x64 which has ‘gone away’ now.

Not really a mac person. I may repair them, but don’t really use them out of choice. https://mp3tag.app is available for Apple via the Apple Store. KODI should work due to the open source nature of it - but can be an overkill for most. A popular option would be foobar2000 for Mac

Look at bottom on download page.

Using it for almost 20 years (switched when Winamp started to become a mess adding video,…).
Super light in memory and customizable as you wish.

What is bottom on download page please?

Thanks but the Foobar2000 Mac version is read-only from what I can see, doesn’t support plugins etc so I think I’m stuck with iTunes for now.
