Should I create a “42 Balloons” artist? Jack Godfrey is sole composer/book/lyricist, so I assume 42 Balloons is analogous to “42 Balloons Original Cast” or similar. It is credited the same way across all streaming services.
How should the “Selected Tracks” be handled, also in the disambiguation field?
based on your Tidal source, and the track credits shown at castalbums, i believe you can omit the credits for “42 Balloons” and Jack Godfrey, and just add the other artists named (and remove their feat. credits in the corresponding track titles). for the Prologue, you may use [theatre] credited as “Company”
Jack Godfrey would be the release/release group artist.
It’s not the Chicago Shakespeare Theater cast (which I just saw last weekend) but an earlier recording from about a year ago, the “Studio Cast”, though with the same two leads.
Regarding using [theatre], would you be able to explain that a bit further? I’m clicking around in the add release page now and I’m sure I see how to add that.
you would use [theatre] as the artist credited as 42 Balloons. I’ll explain…

to edit an artist credit, you hit the Edit button next to the artist field, then you can choose the artist(s) to use as well as how they’re credited. for this particular release, it should look something like this (tho with an artist selected for Jack Godfrey, of course):
then on the tracklist page, you would do similar, hit Edit on the first track, set the artists and artist credits, and hit Next to go to the next
from the looks of it, you might need to add artists for many of the performers too, which you can do by searching in the artist field (hit the search next to the field) and scrolling to the bottom (provided you can’t find a match, of course), and hit Add new artist
