What is the correct way to enter an album like this one:
The artist is listed as Simon Rattle (conductor) and the orchestra. None of the composers are listed in the artist field, and there are about half a dozen.
That release seems correctly entered to me.
The composers are not mentioned on the cover, so they are not considered the release artists. The composers are credited on the individual tracks on the Medium, while the recordings are credited to orchestra/conductor/soloists. This is all as described in the classical guidelines.
