Picard 2.1.3 crashing

I upgraded from 2.1.2 to 2.1.3. After the upgrade, Picard crashes when scanning songs. No error message, but just shut down and gone.

After downgrade to 2.1.2, all working fine again.

Any log or other helpful for me to provide? Thanks for your help!

A bit more information if you don’t mind.

  1. What platform (operating system and version)?
  2. What plugins are loaded, and what ones are enabled?
  3. Are you able to start it from the command line with the option --debug and does it show anything when it crashes?

The developers will likely want some more, but this will provide a starting point for them. Thanks.

Thanks for your quick reply.

I am using Windows 10.

Will get back about plugins. I believe only fanart.tv, but will check.

Let me try to run from command line.

The most important information for now would be the debug log. In case of a hard crash like this the best way is to start from a command prompt with the -d parameter as rdswift said. I described the process a bit more detailed at Musicbrainz Picard 2.1 crashes while saving the 5th song

Windows command prompt can sometimes be a bit tricky to copy paste from. Best would be the complete log, but in any case include the very end of the log just before the crash. Usually theré should be some useful error output there.
