Hello,
I just found the title of five elements series of band Ave Mujica is little hard to decide.
The five release group are:
It’s very clean that this series is based on the classical element theory. And two of them use the symbol of element in title, another two uses plain text.
But if you see the official page of those plain text release, it has a note at the end:
※正式タイトルは「Symbol II : 🜁」となりますが、互換性を考慮し「Symbol II : Air」と表記しております。
Which translated to:
※The official title will be “Symbol II : 🜁”, but considering compatibility, it is represented as “Symbol II : Air”.
Because obviously modern databases can process these symbols that have been encoded in Unicode, So I’m wordering if we should uses the official name? As bellow:
- Symbol I : △
- Symbol II : 🜁
- Symbol III : ▽
- Symbol IV : 🜃
- Ether
And how about track titles in the final EP?
I personally prefer to use symbols, as it seems to be the original intention of the artists and publishers, while using plain text is merely a compromise in display. Moreover, considering that two of them would inevitably require the use of symbols, modifying them would also make the entire series more consistent.
For the aforementioned reasons, I have submitted some modifications, but so far it has not received any discussion or votes (with two days remaining). To avoid potential disputes, I chose to post here to see if anyone has different ideas on this.
