Reviews
m.amanullah7:
[mamanullah7] Nothing much last week, was travelling back to college!
Due to some technical issue room allotment not started yet and can’t take our luggage’s also and living in common room! lol
Last week I’ve created fw icon with the help of monkey and also implement solution for addition of newly added services in bp and bp settings as suggested by monkey
And was looking at fuzzy logic shared by monkey to improve the track matching!
suvid:
So I just worked on reviews provided by lucifer
Made the required changes and pushed them
Also started writing tests
Realized that there’s a bit of problem with migrations on my local setup
Will resolve them and test the tests soon
After that, slight db schema changes will be left
Then combining backend and frontend together
Spotify importer would be functional then : )
hemang-mishra:
[Hemang Mishra] Week was spent mostly in traveling back to college, shifting hostels and some events.
Along with that, I am working on some PR reviews and an additional feature of giving users an option to add any app from their device to the listening apps list.
julian45:
in terms of usual business this week, i did some more patching & working with Jade on libretto
but then in terms of UNusual business, our blog’s host decided to throw a fit about SSL certificates so the blog became unavailable for a bit
it has now been revived on a server we run, with the aim of using that self-hosted install as a jumping off point for converting our blog to a static site generated by something like hugo & managed through standard git workflows
(this was proposed and discussed eons ago in a weekly meeting, but was put on the backburner for various reasons)
outsidecontext:
Last week I was still on vacation, but had some time for MB projects. Did some Picard code review and ticket support.
Also with JonnyJD (who contributed to various MB projects in the past, specifically a lot of libdiscid work) and mayhem I had discussed moving python-discid under the MetaBrainz umbrella to ensure this Python package stays maintained. JonnyJD moved the repo, PyPI package and readthedocs page over last week and gave me access.
Hence I did also apply some modernization to the python-discid repo and investigated the readthedocs builds. Which are currently failing, but looks like a readthedocs issue, I already contacted them about it.
ApeKattQuest_MonkeyPython:
[Jigen] not much at all, it’s like 34 degrees yesterday, it’s really hot even over 20 at night so I’ve been basically sleeping and going to the river occasionally
this week it’s going to be a bit better so I hope to do some actual WORK lol
other than that i’ve done the usual drawing, my apilities are improving!

Read the chatlogs for the full discussion, the general consensus can probably be summarised with “I see nothing awful that means that we should clearly -not- proceed”.
