[monkey] [mailed in] I am probably in the sea right now, so forgive my impersonal review.
Last week I reviewed PRs for BookBrainz an ListenBrainz.
I finished the LB feature to link listens by album, making it easier to use that frankly very useful tool. I’ve been wanting that feature for a while.
I had a GSOC related chat with kellnerd, and dug into the Apple Music search API to find only disappointment.
And finally started to work on a summit t-shirt design.

[mailed in] Nothing exciting to report work-wise, but had a much too exciting time visiting family recently. My niece and nephew exhausted me after 20 minutes and then I stayed for another few days… very cute though!
Had a very inopportune flight cancellation shortly before writing this, so still not home until tomorrow evening - I am going to try to work, but you may not get replies from me for another day or so.
Congrats to all the GSoC students!! Looking forward to seeing all the projects. I wasn’t involved in a lot of them, or only at the start, so fingers crossed that those involved minimal to no UI/UX, or everything just works out. But very excited, as a user, for the new functionality.

This week I will be, going to the dentist, getting a NEW internet connection (mobile broadband), finishing some paid mb work, and having to deal with the previous connection bullshit faffing goons (thursday)
I also managed to watch a movie or two : D

[mayhem] last week was still vacation time, so not a whole lot of real work besides emails and accounting stuffs.
had a lunch meeting with monkey on monday to discuss a few things, but really, I’m fully back to work today. more to report next week.

Last week I was mostly hiking with friends, so not much done.
I reviewed twodoorcoupe blog post
I also reviewed few Picard PRs (another release is due tomorrow, hotfixing sorting issues)
and usual supervision, system upgrades, and minor tasks.

Last week I did the final bits to unify the handling of regular BB entities and pending imports.
That is you can now use an import BBID everywhere where you could use a regular BBID previously (including questionable stuff such as adding imports to collections, which is not explicitly disallowed yet).
Next steps will be finding more cases where imports require special handling and the satisfying part of deleting a whole bunch of now unused code.
I also had a video call with monkey where we discussed the next steps and realized that certain things will now be even easier than what I had expected in my proposal.
This week I will be busy with a university task, so the next steps have to wait until the weekend.

[yellowhatpro] Last week I added some scripts and fixtures for the tests
Added some integration tests, and fixed a couple of stuff
Updated the CI workflow to run tests
That was it. I hate tests.

Nothing work wise. I spent last week at moving. Now having a much better desk setup. Always improving neck’s condition.
Congratulations to Jade for her completed project, and to all the GSoCers for their projects, either completed or near-completion.
Looking forward to mentoring yellowhatpro through a few extra weeks at deploying and polishing his already shiny project!

at the start of last week I hot-fixed [MB pull 3358] and released beta (I think mainly with derat’s PRs)
[MBS-13727, MBS-13731: Event edit form fixes #3358]
later I had to make an emergency patch to the prod containers to disable release relationships for logged-out users, due to severe issues with website response times…things are much better since atj performed a mass-blockening, so I can revert that today
the rest of the week I was mainly working on performance improvements to release pages or doing code review/fixing test failures

i’m hopeful that my change for MBS-9479 will go in soon (thanks to bitmap for helping figure out a test failure)

i just sent a quick fix for MBS-13744

and i’m possibly considering starting to think about MBS-13711

maybe. need to see if other people agree it’s a good idea

Last week, I mostly spent time rewriting a couple of tests in LB, and continued refactoring user stats components
I spent time reviewing a couple of PRs and worked on some tickets. I also had a quick look at rimskii’s PR. It looks amazing.

last week, i continued working on stats processing in spark and fixed some issues in soundcloud metadata cache. also, followed up on open PRs and reviewed a couple of PRs for rimskii 's project.

Last week I worked on a bunch of i18n issues (splitting reports from the main translation component, fixing untranslated statistics code)
Plus some URL handling updates, and updating some dependencies
And some more Spanish translation

[rimskii] Last week, I mostly worked on integrating soundcloud
im happy to report that the SoundCloud import feature is now complete and has been successfully added to both Troi and LB!
the frontend is also finished and everything should be live in production within the next few days : )
also I’m nearly done with export. I’ve been working with lucifer , who’s been a tremendous help! weve completed the playlist generation, track lookups, and identifying unplayable tracks. there are a few tweaks needed, but the core functionality is in place.
This week, I plan to wrap up Apple export as well, hopefully can finish in 2 days. Then I wanted to focus on writing tests (boo) and improving soundcloud track lookup logic when importing

[pranav] Last week, I wrapped up the album pages in ListenBrainz android… the new designs by aerozol look fabulous
Will have a meet with him sometime mid week to get feedback from him
The changes I made are rolled out to beta
Would appreciate if everyone tests and reports feedback
Some minor things are left which I plan to get to this week
Other than that, I wrote my GSoC blog post…

Now focusing on the leftover tasks and will be pushing them soon

[Jade] Last week I created the last four templates - meaning everything is there subject to aerozol 's design review
And I wrote up my blog post!

[ericd] Last week I did the feed for latest activity and the rest of feed UIs, as well as the blog post. There’s some minor feed gen bugs to fix before the branch can be merged. And there might be some UIs tweak I have to discuss with aerozol to make it more accessible.
