[mailed in] Last week I submitted a couple PRs relating to some backend things in MBS.
I worked a bit on adding a read-only database connector that we can use to distribute queries to our standby.
I made some improvements to the script for rebuilding indexes using collations (including adding documentation).
Fixed a bug that was causing some users’ pages to error for admins.
And continued converting the “Add Cover Art” page to React, which will be useful for porting it to events too.

[mailed in] Last week I completed MB Weblate custom checks with CI tests and improvements.
I fixed some small issues in MB Server, related to either messages or URLs.
I reviewed some PRs, updated beta.mb.o and provisioned changes for today’s release.
Plus Jira maintenance, support, and tickets triage.

Last week I kept up with comms/IRC/tickets
Beyond just keeping up I spent some time on a mix of tickets and MB guidelines, as they came up, but nothing big enough to talk about
Made the GSoC 2024 wiki pages
Wanted to get stuck into finishing YIM and some more mockups for ansh and monkey but f^%k me the week went fast. Life is busy! Apologies, and remember that you can nudge me if you need something asap

I am back at things and my health is good now!
I made progress with the listens fixing and had to add a proper logger to the app now to receive logs of faulty things for users
Made a library for that
Will get things on beta soon. monkey might love this
Need some more time to do some cleanup since I wanna complete the listens thing entirely with all the additional features that pano scroobbler has
So looking good so far. And it’s pretty fun

[monkey] Last week I reviewed the final GSoC PRs and completed the evaluation
Worked on the BookBrainz test suite
And reviewed some PRs
On ListenBrainz I continued work on the entity pages.
Had a nice chat with ansh and drafted some specs for a play queue for LB
And converted some tests to RTL

this week I mostly worked on Picard, investigating few issues related to PyQt6 move
I also did usual user support, upgrades, minor issues fixes, and supervision. Plus usual MB edits.
[/quote]
[quote = “lucifer”]
Last week I worked on improving dumps, recovering more data and some pr reviews.

[mayhem] last week was similar to lucifer, tough my focus was on making sure it won’t happen again.
I also tweak the user similarity, which hopefully I can just put to bed tomorrow.
I also worked with monkey on the artist/album pages and I am really happy we’re not doing a full data cache first, then the pages…
we thought we knew what data we needed, but noooo. we forgot a ton of things, lol.
so, once the page are doing from a UX perspective, I’ll have to dig back in an make the data caching work better.
and I did the usual brackground nonsense for MeB, including filing our taxes, prepping for the summit on friday/saturday.

[ansh] Last week I worked on making changes to the fresh release PR.
I had a great meeting with monkey, where we discussed about a new feature I’ll be working on.
We’ll be having a play queues for BrainzPlayer.
I have started working on it, and hope to get it live soon.

last week i created a role an ansible role for zrepl so we can automate ZFS snapshots on hendrix and jimmy
still some work to do before that can be deployed but it’s a start

Last week I worked on sentence casing lot of strings in MB (including headers) to follow our design guidelines, and while doing that I added context to a fair amount of them to hopefully make translating them easier
I also dealt with quite a few user reports
And a couple other small tickets, including [MBS-11934: Report for releases without cover art] for a new report so that everyone can find what cover art they need to go add : p
Plus a documentation bubble so that our Indian users will hopefully no longer read “sort name” as “short name”
This week I’m kinda busy with life but I’ll probably still find time to do some code review and possibly look at a few small tickets, plus the usual community management

[ApeKattQuest] last week went by too fast!
I’m still getting back in action. I’ve been researching all day for adding more instruments
hopefully i’ll be back adding loads in the comming weeks

Last week I’ve addressed feedback for my GSoC roll-up PR.
I also did some userscript maintenance (reviewing PRs and testing a few of my own minor improvements).
And I picked up working on Harmony (my MB seeder) again: After upgrading dependencies and submitting a minor upstream bugfix, I finally integrated my custom caching implementation (multiple snapshots with timestamps per URL)
This opens up a lot of possibilities for both missing a-tisket features and some new ideas as well.
