I can’t seem to find the ABC song (the one with the tune composed by Mozart used to teach children the alphabet). Does it exist in the database? I asked because it seems unlikely that a song so classic is not already created.
This one?
Some additional explanations:
Unless we’re just using the “catch all for arrangements” work, it’s not there… Neither is “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”.
Somewhat surprising, but I guess Works coverage outside of classical is pretty bad
It is rather deplorable, but then again relationships as a whole aren’t much better. As much as I tend to disparage the CSG, I will say that they do seem to get people actually thinking about and double-checking what they’re adding rather than just speeding through with the absolute minimum effort possible – and that they definitely foster an active community who can help promptly with any cleanup. There’s absolutely staggering numbers of recordings with the same name on some of the more popular artists’ pages.
The work linked has no lyrics, which suggests that this is only the original Mozart composition without the alphabet attached to it as lyrics. I think I’ll go ahead and add the ABC song, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Baa Baa Black Sheep.
Not really. Work by Mozart is an arrangement (12 variations) of traditional French song. Alphabet Song, Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star and Baa, Baa, Black Sheep and also the work by Mozart are all based on this song.
