MusicBrainz new look... from several years ago?

Hi everyone,

I was talking with people online about how MusicBrainz’s UI felt dated, but that there were a beta UI being worked on. At least that’s what i rememebered. Going to beta.musicbrainz.org today doesn’t show the UI changes i rememeber…

I think the UI mockup i saw was done about 5 years ago, maybe more ? I’m pretty sure this was a thing, and that it was only visible as a visitor, editors still had the old UI as it wasn’t finished.

What happened to this project ? Is it still worked upon ? Are there plans to improve the UI in the near future ?

Thanks in advance for your answers everyone !
