Messy entry – at least three different people merged into one artist

I found an artist entry that seems to be a complete mess:

This entry appears to conflate at least three different people named 山崎光 (Yamasaki, Hikaru).

One of them is the lyricist of Hiromi Iwasaki’s 赤い糸.
At some point, a Wikidata link was added that points to an actor with the same name. However, this actor does not seem to have any works relevant to MusicBrainz. The linked Wikipedia page, including the birth date and birth location, clearly refers to the actor.
More recently, relationships have been added that appear to belong to a different person: a composer/lyricist signed to Arte Refact:

Since I’m new to MusicBrainz, I’m not sure what the correct approach is here.
Should I remove the actor-related information, since there are no associated works?
Or should I create a separate artist entry for the Arte Refact composer and move the relevant relationships and works out of the original, messy entry?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

This is where disambiguation comes in. Ultimately this needs three artists, each with their own disambig so people can tell them apart. It is quite common for people to see a name and link items to them without fully checking it is the actual person they need.

The simple one is artist number three. Make a new one for the actor and move the actor’s wikipedia link to the newly made Actor artist. Give them a good disambig.

Next the choice of how to split the last two. Ideally pick the oldest edit and use that to be the original artist, and move credits for the other artist out to a newly made artist.

BUT if you look at the artist and see a huge mess of 70% one artist, and 30% another no one would shout at you if you just pick the smaller 30% to move out to a new artist.

The key is use a bit of common sense and the final result is three separate artists.

Errr… LOL… I typed all that and then looked closer. You are talking about just three works? That’s easy then. Make this current artist to represent the oldest edit seen in the edit history from 2008 and the work Song “赤い糸” - MusicBrainz, and make a new artist for the other work(s) and move that across to them. Adjust any of the other links as best you can understand.

Edit #9594757 created the artist and said they wrote a song from 1982. The artist was then hijacked to say the artist was born in the future and wrote the song before they existed. Edit #118148629 is likely also wrong, followed by Edit #133142428.

The correct thing to do is to respect the intent of the original editor, and separate all the hijackings and mistakes into new artists.

Thank you so much for taking care of it! I have been trying to identify the 山崎光 who wrote the song in the 80s, and it may be an alias of Ryuji Amagai, but I cannot find any good source saying that he wrote the song in question.
