ListenBrainz marks songs as from wrong realease

Hey,

Currently listening to an album the contains many re-releases. ListenBrainz is really insisting on scrobbling the re-releases as the original releases, and not as the album I’m actually listening to. Although the correct release appears on ListenBrainz, when using the “link” function, it only ever shows one version of the song, which is the incorrect version in this case.

Hi, this thread has quite a full explanation.
But Listenbrainz can only correctly match the recording to the correct album if you have tagged your music files with Picard AND you are listening to it on a device which supports MBID submission (which will often need a plug in, e.g. Power Amp for Android)
