using JellyFin10.9.7 as my server app with MacOS 12.7.5.
It has stalled when scan/updating the library at 48%.
I haven’t changed the metadata of the files, just what comes with them in the rip.
I do have an API ket set in JellyFin.
Am I doing something wrong, or is there a way to get the scan to run properly when adding new music?
Aren’t you in the wrong place? The Jellyfin Forum is elsewhere:

Edit:
So we have a case of crossposting:
trying both. I’m not sure if it’s a JF issue or an MB request issue.
Going by the responses over on the Jellyfin forum it is likely you’re hitting the request limits - and as the responses over there indicate this is normal if you’re trying to process 1,000’s or 10,000’s of files in a short period. Simply the servers cant keep up.
From the MusicBrainz point of view our only recommendation is you spend the time accurately tagging your digital media files with Picard first and then import them into Jellyfin. However keep in mind that won’t get you away from the rate-limiting as the general agreement around Picard is that you can only feed it up to about 1,000 items at a time. What this will do is make your files ready for any kind of media library system be it Jellyfin, Plex, Emby etc.
I think it’s a JF issue because all the metadata JF looks at was already run thru MB when I used Emby as the music media server. This is only the update of new stuff to JF. Emby is also updating as I still use it.
There doesn’t seem to be a method to incrementally update or start from a certain point. Ah well, iiwii.
