I’m currently uploading/updating a bunch of not-so-known artists and albums but I’m quite new to MB. I would love to upload to a locally hosted MB DB first and when everything looks correct I could upload to BM’s DB.
Is this possible some how?
I have tried to search but I couldn’t find any yay or nay information about this.
Don’t worry. Just take your time. Do your edits. And any corrections. If you need people to look and comment then just add some links here.

I will echo what @IvanDobsky said. Take your time. Add one part, then the next. Fix errors as needed. Take a break, then get back to work. The data you contribute will last for years, probably decades. You don’t need to enter it all in one afternoon.
To answer your technical question: no, this is not really possible. At best you could write a script to pull the data from your mirror and seed it to MB, but the MBIDs of the created entities will be different.
