If you want to import Spotify data into MusicBrainz, you will probably want to look into release editor seeding. (Note that this should be done by a human. Machine-assisted data entry is fine, but we generally frown upon fully automated data imports.)

Thanks for pointing out this, i’ve been wondering how to do this.
I’ve been thinking about soundcloud as they have an api.
I could create a site that looks up an artist and seed creating recordings in musicbrainz.
Can you seed the editor to create just a recording instead of seeding a full release?

Yes, but as with the releases, please don’t auto-submit anything

The most standard way would be to write a userscript that puts “Import” buttons by every track (see: Discogs importer, Bandcamp importer, etc).
