I think I've stumbled upon a duplicate release group - could someone mentor me/help me merge them?

I might be wrong, but it looks like I’ve stumbled upon a duplicate. The album in question is The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett:


If I’m right I’d love to help sort this out but it looks like at least intermediate level of difficulty and I’m new to this. Would anyone be willing to mentor me through it, or maybe just point out the relevant reading material?

You can start by merging release groups.

And edit https://musicbrainz.org/release/733b8ed9-a393-46b8-9309-69564e96e7e6 to split the medium in two.
Add an existing (itself) medium and then remove first medium last two tracks and second medium first two tracks.
Renumber tracks as A1, A2, B1, B2 for first LP and C1, C2, D1, D2 for second LP.
It’s difficult to do but necessary prior to merge otherwise identical releases.

Thanks. that was a lot smoother and less painful than I expected! The merge is now in the peer review queue: #49663796

As for https://musicbrainz.org/release/733b8ed9-a393-46b8-9309-69564e96e7e6 - This release was entered by me before I found the duplicate release group. My guess is I should now delete it in favor of https://beta.musicbrainz.org/release/d4e075d9-7e10-4316-a589-b2482d46ea80 that has the correct medium count and vinyl track numbers?

I have queued the medium split edits and marked the release for merge afterwards.
If you remove it, tell me so I cancel my edits…
